Despite of enforcing number of laws and acts to reform the menace of drug addiction, it no way helped the state to completely free it from the menace of drug addiction. Hence forth the state has taken this initiative in order to help the rehab centers even in their working. They have launched new testing programs of drug and alcohol in New Jersey this helps the doctors of the rehab centers or the psychologists to understand how much proportion of toxicity in the blood of the patient contained. As well as it also decides in what category that patient should be treated. According to the reports of the testing program a person is treated in the rehab centers.
Traditionally to check the level of the alcohol or drug consumed by a person the recognition evaluator was the best way to find out. It used to show up the accurate measure of the drug consumption but as the new techniques has been involved due to the alarming rate of increase in alcohol and drug addiction this testing program is kind of test which not only show the level of consumption, it even shows the level of toxic content in the blood.
Testing program for drug and alcohol is done through different ways. The blood sample is collected from the drug or alcohol offender and tested with the help of sodium nitrate. The proportion of the yellow color actually shows up the level of toxicity in the blood sample of the person. Through this test the actual platelet counts could also be found out. As the rate of addiction of drug and alcohol increasing among the citizens of USA, New Jersey is not far behind. The rate of increase is quite alarming through the nation. The addiction is vastly found on the young citizen of the country. 
As the number is increasing the measures are also being taken by the government of United States, they are establishing rehab centers through out every stet so that the drug addicted patients could be healed with stress relived treatments. In order to stop the rise it is very much essential to make the problem of drug and alcohol addiction nipped in the bud. One such way is enforcing several laws against the drug and alcohol offenders.
The Laws that are being designed for New Jersey are quite effective in tackling the menace of drug addiction. The comprehensive New Jersey drug reform act is one of the most effective law which has been came into force from 1987, is a law against the student drug addicts. Such laws prevents the students to get addicted with drug consumption as it will penalized if a student is being found consuming drugs and even are liable to put behind bars under this act. Some other rules under which a drug addict or a drug provider are also effective in New Jersey. They are as follows:
- If a person dies due to the consumption of drug the drug provider will be put behind bars under the offence of criminal homicide.
- Within 1000 feet of school premises or property be it elementary or secondary one possessing, inheriting or distributing drugs are fined with dollar 100,000 and imprisonment for six months initially. Punishment depends upon the amount of drug possession by the person concern.
- A person selling drug to a person below 17 years i.e. to a minor or any pregnant women once found will be charged with hard penalties.
- A driver found driving consuming drugs under drug recognition evaluator will be charged with stiffer penalties including the dismiss of the driving license.
Alcohol consumption is also another factor of concern but it has a certain limitation of consuming and a certain age group under which this could be also found to be offense under the alcohol laws of New Jersey. The New Jersey government officials combating the menace of drug and alcohol addiction with the help of rehab centers.

New Jersey Faces Drugs Cases in Schools

Educational institution is one last place where you might expect cases of drug abuse. These are places where the children are tailored to be good citizens and good human beings. But the evil of drug abuse has not spared this place also. In New Jersey, one gets to hear about drug abuse cases in schools on a regular basis. It is something that fails to shock us anymore.
An interesting piece of news that crossed the headline some time ago is the relation between drug abuse and violence. A recent study in New Jersey threw light on the fact that drug abuse and violence in children is interrelated. The study 
reveals that there has been a decrease in violence among students as there has been an increase in drug abuse cases. The students of New Jersey schools fought less but the cases of drug abuse have grown over the years. The study was conducted in the year 2007-08. The total annual cases of vandalism, substance abuse and violence have decreased by 5%. 11 percent decline is seen in vandalism and 14 percent decrease in weapons violations. This has been the decline while the drug abuse cases have increased by 4 percent. State officials are very concerned about the present condition if the students at New Jersey schools and feel the need to spread awareness on the issue so as to curb the problem. The main concern of the state officials is the fact that the students have more access to drugs now more than ever before. Easy availability has made this problem increase tenfold and seems to no tender bud to snip. The students are now getting hold of prescribed medicines. They have the access to dangerous and addictive drugs as well. The worst part of this scenario is that the not only use this for their personal use but they supply drugs as well. This makes the other students fall prey to such a notorious habit. Over the counter drugs are easily available to the students and with false or stolen prescription, there is nothing much that the state officials can do.
The only way out of this mess is to spread awareness about the issue. Once the students come face to face with the hazards of drug abuse, they will be more likely to avert the habit. An overall effort is required to curb this problem.

He can make them see the truth behind the bright façade of this problem. They can be made to see their mistake. The session begins with an open discussion where the children are made to talk freely. This kind of discussion opens new doors for dealing with the problem. It can be found out through an open discussion where the problem lies. The problem could be because of lack of love and care at home. It may be due to want of addiction that the child can take to drugs.
